Joined-up approach

TIM BELL, of Crown Court House restaurant in Dalton, shares his hopes and aspirations for the Boosting Barrow and Furness Group“I FULLY support the activity hub on Walney, the idea has vision and should receive a positive response from the public, particularly as it is a Walney lad that has produced it, one of Pat Davey’s ex pupils from St Bernards.

“I feel the joined-up marketing of Furness through a sense of place brochure produced by Cumbria tourism will meet one of our short term objectives.

“Boosting Furness through the retail group and Pat Davey’s efforts has helped Ulverston to see the potential for a coach park, a Laurel and Hardy film trail and a film week all aimed at increasing footfall and realising Ulverston’s central position in Furness as quality market town.

“Pat Jones the Mayor is now an advocate for Boosting Barrow and Furness and her position gives us a voice to support Ulverston's efforts to be a succesful market town.”
